Montemercurioâ€™s â€śDamoâ€ť Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is an homage to their grandfather â€śNonno Damoâ€ť who in the mid 20th-century planted the first vines that were used in the production of this wine. â€śDamoâ€ť is Montemercurioâ€™s leading wine and is produced with a careful eye for every last detail. This intensely garnet-coloured red wine boasts fragrances of ripe berries, dark, bold spices, liquorice, tobacco and truffle. It is full-bodied yet supported by a bold blend of tannins. In the mouth it reveals a certain freshness mixed and full-flavoured quality with a long, balanced persistence. â€śDamoâ€ť pairs especially well with dishes featuring game, fowl or red meats.
